You’ve booked. You’re arriving. Here’s what to expect to make your first moments stress-free.
Parking and Access
Our properties have parking arranged (different for each location). Our Edinburgh townhouse is on-street (we’ll advise on best spots). Stirling flat has designated parking. Ayr ten-sleeper has driveway parking. When you book, we’ll send detailed access instructions well before arrival.
Key Collection
No awkward desk meeting. We’ll arrange collection based on your arrival time. Typically you’ll collect from a secure nearby location or we’ll have left keys safely accessible. You’ll have all details before you arrive.
The Welcome Pack
We leave a welcome pack with local information, recommendations for restaurants/walks/activities, wi-fi details, and sometimes treats (biscuits, local chocolate). It’s not fancy—it’s useful.
How Things Work
Each property has an information folder with everything: heating, hot water, appliance instructions, waste recycling, emergency numbers. Modern problems get modern solutions: we’ll be a message away if anything isn’t working.
Local Essentials
There’s an information sheet with the nearest supermarkets, pharmacies, doctors (in case of emergency), and restaurants. You’ll know where to go and when things are open.
Community Feel
You’re not in an anonymous holiday rental. You’re in a home that we care about and use ourselves. That means it’s genuinely nice inside, genuinely clean, genuinely functional. It also means we’d appreciate you treating it with the same care you’d want for your own home.
Questions Before Arrival? Contact us. We’re not a call centre—we’re actual people who want you to arrive prepared and relaxed. Ask about restaurants, walks, local events, or anything else. That’s what direct booking means.
